Tony Jackson

A former editor and editor-in-chief of Britain's leading shooting magazine, the weekly Shooting Times, Tony is one of the UK's leading writers on all aspects of shooting and stalking and is well known as a regular weekly contributor to his former magazine, and has written for The Field, Horse & Hound, Weekend Telegraph, and American, Swedish and Danish magazines., He has also had nearly a dozen books published on shooting, hunting and country matters.

Tony has hunted world-wide, including Canada, Alaska, Sweden, Eastern Europe and North Africa, but has spent most of his time abroad hunting in Africa from the Sudan southwards to Zambia, the Caprivi Strip, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

He has also hunted with 70 packs of hounds, in this country and abroad, and today, apart from enjoying rough shooting and occasional wildfowling, spends most of his spare time deer stalking.
